La investigación sobre la vía
De Italia in Hispanias/Item ab Asturica Tarracone
en La Rioja incluye la
definición del trazado topográfico y sus características estructurales desde una perspectiva arqueo-
lógica. El trabajo pretende ofrecer una nueva lectura de los datos tradicionalmente manejados y
aportar otros inéditos a partir de la prospección y de la excavación arqueológica. El artículo compila
los resultados obtenidos en diferentes excavaciones arqueológicas realizadas en la vía entre
Pertusa
(Petrusa, Huesca) y
Asturica Augusta
(Astorga, León). Tras analizar y comparar los materiales y las
técnicas de construcción, se definen los modelos constructivos y las secciones tipo de la vía.

The research that we are currently performing upon the roman road
De Italia in Hispanias/Item ab
Asturica Tarracone
includes the definition of its topographical and structural characteristics from an
archaeological point of view. This work aims to present a new interpretation of the data traditionally
employed, as well as to provide other interpretations, yet unpublished, obtained from archaeological
prospecting and excavations. The results presented here correspond to those obtained from several
archaeological excavations performed in the Roman road between the
mansiones
of
Pertusa
(Petrusa,
Huesca) and
Asturica Augusta
(Astorga, León). After the analysis and comparison of the materials
and structural techniques, it has been possible to identify the construction models and characteristic
cross-sections of the
via
.
