This paper presents a study of the Meseta Ware from Alarcos, the most important pottery of this production in the south-eastern Meseta. In addition to a study of the typology and decoration, the results and an interpretation of the DRX analyses of some sherds are offered which have provided evidence for technological aspects, such as the firing temperature and the manufacturing processes on the site itself. An evaluation of the Meseta Ware of Alarcos with respect to that characteristic of the north-eastern Meseta is presented: whereas Meseta Ware has traditionally been linked to the Urnfield Culture, here its derivation from the Real Ware of south-eastern Iberia is proposed.
